Shipping & Returns

Shipping within Canada:

Standard shipping within Canada is shipped via Canada Post Expedited Parcel Service. (Typically, 2-3 days to most destinations, 5-7 days for most remote* locations.)

 

Flat Rate Fee for Canadian orders under $75.00 (subtotal) $16.00CDN

Shipping for Canadian orders over $150.00 (subtotal) FREE SHIPPING

 

These shipping rates do not apply to large or excessively weighted items. Should the order contain any item of this nature, we will contact the buyer for alternate shipping options.

 

These shipping rates do not apply to REMOTE LOCATIONS.

 

*Remote locations as designated by Canada Post are as follows:

Delivery to remote locations is not included in “Free Delivery for orders over $150.00 CDN” offer due to extra Canada Post charges (“Beyond” Fees) to these locations. However, we will credit an equivalent amount to the postage cost to your account that would have normally been applied to an order within non-remote locations. This credit is subject to change with fluctuating Canada Post regulations and “Beyond” pricing fees.

 

We ship from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

 

Refused or Returned Orders:

 

If your package is refused at point of delivery by the customer and returned to The Atlantic Bead Company, we will attempt to contact the buyer before re-shipping. Buyer will be responsible for the full cost of re-shipment. If the buyer does not want the package re-shipped, the original shipping cost plus a re-stocking fee of 15% will be applied to each item before a refund is issued to the buyer.

 

Shipping Disclaimer: “The Atlantic Bead Company and TheAtlanticBeadCompany.ca are not responsible for the actions of the shipper with regards to posted shipping times, shut-downs, work stoppages, weather, natural disaster, or other delays not within the direct control of our company. Should this occur during your shipment, we will do our best to track and manage the location of your shipment. We will take no financial or product replacement responsibility of the shipment while still in the possession of the shipper.”

 

Return Policies:

Unwanted or unused items:

 

In Store: Returns are accepted within 30 days of the purchase date.  Receipts must accompany any returns. Items must be in original condition in their original, unopened packaging. Returns of Seed Beads will be accepted after the package has been inspected and weighed. Visibly mistreated packaging or unequal selling weight of packaging will not be accepted for return.

 

“Bargain Bin” purchases and “50% Off - Clearance” sale purchases are final. There will be no returns accepted of these items.

 

Online: Buyer is responsible for shipping costs to return online purchases of unwanted or unused items. There will be a 15% restocking fee applied to each item before returns will be credited to buyer’s original form of payment.

 

Manufacturer’s Defect items:

 

In Store: Returns are accepted within 30 days of the purchase date. If you suspect a manufacturer’s defect, please return the item to our store. If it is determined that the item is indeed defective, we will refund full purchase price or offer a new item as a replacement. If the item has been visibly mistreated or altered in any way, the item cannot be returned.

 

Online:  Buyer is responsible for shipping costs to return online purchases of manufacturer’s defected items. If it is determined that the item is indeed defective, we will refund full purchase price PLUS buyer’s shipping costs or offer a new item as a replacement with paid shipping.

 

WE DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS ON THE FOLLOWING:

 

  • Custom cut products. (Wire, chain or other material that have been cut to buyer’s specification.)
  • Pre-Packaged items that have been cut or torn open.
  • Custom ordered materials or special bulk orders.
  • Items marked as “Discontinued” at time of sale.
  • “Bargain Bin” or “50% Off - Clearance” items.

 

Returns Disclaimer: “The Atlantic Bead Company is not responsible for the length of time it takes for your online return to arrive at our store location. This time is determined by the shipping method and company you choose. The Atlantic Bead Company is not responsible for lost or missing online returns. We encourage you to use your shipper’s insurance and/or delivery confirmation options, especially for high value items. The Atlantic Bead Company is not responsible for these costs and it will not be added to the item’s value when the return is processed.

 

Exchange Policy:

Exchange of a purchased product can only be accommodated at our store location in Dartmouth, NS and the return policy for unwanted or unused items will apply for all exchanges. Exchange of products purchased online is not available. If an item is returned from an online order, the return policy for unwanted or unused items will apply and a refund issued. Online shoppers will have to re-order the new or preferred item.
